Dr. Joesph Palmeri

As an undergraduate, Dr. Joseph Palmeri attended Cornell University where he studied animal science. After completing his undergraduate studies, he attended Michigan State University and received his DVM degree in 1990.

Dr. Palmeri is originally from North Bellmore, L.I., and has been an associate veterinarian at Sachem Animal Hospital since June 2002. Previous to his arrival at Sachem, he practiced at several local veterinary hospitals.

A general small animal practitioner, Dr. Palmeri has special interests in general surgery and medicine.

Dr. Palmeri is married to Monica, a veterinary technician. The Palmeris share their home with four cats, a dog, and three children, Brendan, Emily and Keith. Hobbies and sports that Dr. Palmeri enjoys include hiking, fishing, playing basketball, traveling and running. He has run in several Long Island marathons and has also competed in the New York City Marathon.
